Bigotry is a form of prejudice and DISCRIMINATION based on an individual's beliefs or values. It is often expressed through DOGMATISM, HYPOCRISY, DECEITFULNESS, PARTIALITY, DISCRIMINATION, FANATICISM, INTOLERANCE, BIAS, RACISM, and HATE. DOGMATISM is the stubborn adherence to a particular belief or opinion without considering other possibilities. HYPOCRISY is the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform. DECEITFULNESS is the act of being dishonest or untruthful. PARTIALITY is the act of favoring one person or group over another. DISCRIMINATION is the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people or things. FANATICISM is excessive enthusiasm or uncritical devotion to a cause. INTOLERANCE is the unwillingness to accept views, beliefs, or behaviors that differ from one's own. BIAS is an inclination of temperament or outlook to present or hold a partial perspective. RACISM is the belief that one race is superior to another. HATE is intense or passionate dislike for someone or something.
