Tutankhamun, commonly known as King TUT, was a well-known Pharaoh who ruled during the 18th dynasty of Ancient Egypt. He is one of the most famous pharaohs due to the discovery of his intact tomb by Howard Carter in 1922. Tutankhamun's reign was short-lived and upon his death he was buried in a lavish tomb filled with treasures. His name is derived from the Egyptian words 'TUT' meaning 'IMAGE' and 'ANKH' meaning 'LIFE'.
