Desdemona is the wife of Othello, a character from William Shakespeare's tragedy of the same name. She is a beautiful and innocent Venetian noblewoman who is married to Othello, a Moorish general in the Venetian army. DESDEMONA is loyal and devoted to her husband, but her love for him is not enough to save her from his jealousy and rage. Despite her innocence, she is ultimately killed by Othello in a fit of jealous rage.
