Feudal Vassal is a term used to describe a relationship between two people in the Middle Ages. A Vavasor (7 letters) was a nobleman who held land from a higher lord, known as a LIEGE (5 letters). This relationship was known as a FEUDATORY (9 letters), and the vassal was expected to provide military service and other services to their LIEGE. The term Leud (4 letters) was also used to describe a vassal, and a Liegeman (8 letters) was a vassal who had sworn an oath of loyalty to their LIEGE.
