Oleg Cassini was a couturier, or fashion designer, who worked for the House of Dior in the 1940s and 1950s. He was known for his signature STYLE, which was often described as 'elegant and sophisticated'. He was also the first American to be appointed as a couturier for a major European fashion house. His designs were worn by many celebrities, including Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Olegs was the name of his own fashion label, which he launched in the 1960s. Styler was another of his labels, which focused on ready-to-wear clothing.
