Chinese Island is a term used to refer to the islands of TAIWAN, Xiamen and Matsu. TAIWAN is an island located off the coast of mainland China in the South China Sea. It is the most populous state and largest economy that is not a member of the United Nations. Xiamen is a sub-provincial city in southeastern Fujian province, People's Republic of China. It is situated on the coast of the TAIWAN Strait and is one of the earliest special economic zones established in China. Matsu is an archipelago of small islands located in the TAIWAN Strait, off the coast of mainland China. It is administered by the Republic of China (TAIWAN) and is the smallest county in TAIWAN.
