The Cheyenne are a Native American tribe of the Great Plains region. They are closely related to the ARAPAHO, another Native American tribe. The Cheyenne traditionally lived in teepees, which are cone-shaped dwellings made of animal skins and wooden poles. They also participated in rodeos, which are competitions involving horseback riding and other activities. The city of Laramie, Wyoming is named after the Cheyenne.
