Zeno's Followers refers to the Stoics, a school of philosophy founded by Zeno of Citium in Athens in the early 3rd century BC. The Stoics believed that virtue was the only true good and that external things, such as health, wealth, and pleasure, were not good or bad in themselves, but had value as consequences of acting virtuously. They also believed that one should accept whatever happens in life without complaint.
