Wyoming's National ELK Refuge is a protected area located in the Jackson Hole valley of Wyoming. It was established in 1912 to provide a safe haven for ELK and other wildlife. The refuge covers over 25, 000 acres and is home to one of the largest ELK herds in the United States. The refuge also provides habitat for many other species of wildlife, including bison, pronghorn, moose, mule deer, and bald eagles.
