Sue Grafton is an American author best known for her 'alphabet series' of mystery novels, which feature the female private investigator Kinsey Millhone. Grafton's novels have been translated into 28 languages and she has sold over 100 million copies worldwide. Her first novel, 'A is for Alibi', was published in 1982 and her most recent novel, 'Y is for Yesterday', was released in 2017. Grafton was awarded the Grand Master Award from the Mystery Writers of America in 2009. She passed away in 2018, but her legacy as a writer lives on.
