Fay Wray was a Canadian-American actress best known for her role as Ann Darrow in the 1933 classic horror film King Kong. She had a long career in Hollywood, appearing in over 100 films between 1925 and 1980. Wray was also a successful stage actress, appearing in several Broadway productions. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress in 1942 for her performance in the film The Pride of the Yankees.
