The World Court Site is located in The Hague, Netherlands. The Hague is the seat of government of the Netherlands and is home to the Supreme Court of the Netherlands, the Council of State, and the Dutch Parliament. The World Court Site is also known as the International Court of Justice, which is the primary judicial branch of the United Nations. It is the only international court that has the power to issue binding decisions on disputes between states. The court is composed of 15 judges who are elected by the UN General Assembly and Security Council for nine-year terms.
