The term 'Winter Olympics Maneuver' refers to the figure skating move known as an Axel. The Axel is a jump in which the skater takes off from a forward outside edge and rotates one and a half times in the air before landing on the same backward outside edge. It was first performed by Norwegian figure skater Axel Paulsen in 1882, and is now a required element in many figure skating competitions.
