Dinah Washington was an American singer and pianist who was known as the 'Queen of the Blues'. She was a major influence in jazz music during the 1940s and 1950s, and was one of the first African-American singers to cross over into pop music. Her most famous songs include 'What a Difference a Day Makes' and 'Baby (You've Got What It Takes)'. Washington was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.
