Sympathetic vibration, also known as RESONANCE, is the phenomenon of one object vibrating in response to another object vibrating at the same frequency. This phenomenon is often seen in musical instruments, where one instrument will vibrate in response to another instrument playing the same note. Sympathetic vibration can also be seen in everyday objects such as a glass that will vibrate when a tuning fork is struck nearby.
