Carrie Chapman Catt was an American suffragist and women's rights activist who was instrumental in the passage of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote. She was the founder and president of the National American Woman Suffrage Association and later the International Woman Suffrage Alliance. Catt was also a prominent leader in the women's suffrage movement, leading campaigns and organizing rallies to support the cause.
