Subject Warhol was an American artist and a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. His works explored the relationship between artistic expression, celebrity culture, and advertisement. He is best known for his silkscreen prints of Marilyn Monroe, Campbell's Soup Cans, and other celebrities. Mao, or Mao Zedong, was a Chinese communist revolutionary who became the founding father of the People's Republic of China. He led the Communist Party of China from its establishment in 1949 until his death in 1976.
