Starfleet Academy Students, also known as Cadets, are individuals who have enrolled in the Starfleet Academy to receive training and education in order to become officers in Starfleet. Cadets are typically between the ages of 17 and 25 and must complete a rigorous program of study and training in order to graduate. They are expected to demonstrate leadership, integrity, and dedication to their studies and to the ideals of Starfleet.
