The star DENEB in the constellation Cygnus is one of the brightest stars in the night sky. It is part of the Northern Cross asterism and is the most distant of the three stars that make up the Summer Triangle. DENEB is a blue-white supergiant star located approximately 1, 550 light years away from Earth. It is estimated to be around 200, 000 times brighter than our Sun and is the 19th brightest star in the night sky.
