Tris Speaker was an American professional baseball player who played in the Major Leagues from 1907 to 1928. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1937 and is widely regarded as one of the greatest defensive players of all time. He was known for his ability to hit for both power and average, and he was also a great base runner. Speaker was a member of the Boston Red Sox team that won the World Series in 1912 and 1915. He was also a member of the Cleveland Indians team that won the World Series in 1920. Speaker was a three-time All-Star and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1937.
