Spanish painter Joan Miro was a renowned 20th century artist who was born in Barcelona, Spain. He is best known for his abstract and surrealist works, which often featured biomorphic shapes and bright colors. His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world. Miro was also a sculptor, ceramicist, and printmaker. He was awarded the Grand Prize for Graphic Work at the Venice Biennale in 1954.
