Tonga is a South Pacific Island Kingdom located in the southern Pacific Ocean, east of Fiji and south of Samoa. It is an archipelago of over 170 islands, 36 of which are inhabited. The Kingdom of Tonga has been an independent sovereign state since 1875 and is the only monarchy in the region. It is known for its rich culture and traditional customs, as well as its beautiful beaches and coral reefs.
