Songwriter Harold ARLEN was born in Buffalo, New York in 1905. He is best known for writing the music and lyrics to the classic song 'Over the Rainbow' from the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz. He also wrote the music for the Broadway musicals Jamaica and House of Flowers. Harold Rome was an American composer, lyricist, and playwright who wrote the music and lyrics for the Broadway musicals Wish You Were Here and Fanny. He was born in New York City in 1908 and died in 1993.
