Sarah McLachlan is a Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has achieved international success as a songstress. She is best known for her emotional ballads and mezzo-soprano vocal range. Her most successful albums include Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, Surfacing, and Afterglow. She has won numerous awards, including three Grammy Awards and twelve Juno Awards. She has also been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
