Soldiers on foot, also known as INFANTRY, are military personnel who fight on the ground using small arms and other weapons. They are usually the first to engage in combat and are often the most numerous branch of an army. INFANTRY soldiers are trained to fight in close quarters and in all types of terrain. They are also responsible for reconnaissance and providing support to other branches of the military.
