A socially inept person is someone who lacks the social skills necessary to interact with others in a comfortable and confident manner. A DWEEB, GEEK, and NERD are all terms used to describe such a person. A DWEEB is someone who is socially awkward and often considered to be an outcast. A GEEK is someone who is highly knowledgeable in a particular area, but may lack social skills. A NERD is someone who is highly intelligent, but may also lack social skills. All three terms can be used to describe a socially inept person.
