Lorne Michaels is a Canadian-American television producer, writer, comedian, and actor who is best known as the creator of the long-running NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live (SNL). He has been the executive producer of SNL since its inception in 1975 and has also served as a writer and occasional performer. He is also the co-creator of the late-night comedy show Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
