A small amphibian is an animal that lives both on land and in water. The most common small amphibians are the EFT, TOAD, and NEWT. An EFT is a juvenile salamander, usually about two inches long, with a bright orange or red body and black spots. A TOAD is a tailless amphibian with short legs, a dry warty skin, and a wide mouth. A NEWT is a small aquatic salamander with a long tail and smooth skin. All three of these small amphibians are found in many parts of the world.
