The Slavonic people are an ethnic group that originated in Eastern Europe and the Balkans. They are comprised of three main subgroups: the Wends, the Serbs, and the Russians. The Wends are a West Slavic people who inhabit parts of Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic. The Serbs are a South Slavic people who inhabit Serbia and other parts of the Balkans. The Russians are an East Slavic people who inhabit Russia and other parts of Eastern Europe.
