Skater's Jump is a figure skating move that involves taking off from the back outside edge of one foot and landing on the back outside edge of the other foot. The two most common jumps are the Axel and the Lutz. The Axel is a jump in which the skater takes off from the forward outside edge of one foot and lands on the back outside edge of the other foot. The Lutz is a jump in which the skater takes off from the back outside edge of one foot and lands on the back outside edge of the other foot. Both jumps require a great deal of skill and practice to master.
