The Six-Day War Commander was Moshe DAYAN, a five-letter Israeli military leader and politician. He was Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces during the 1956 Suez Crisis and the Six-Day War in 1967. DAYAN was also a key figure in negotiating the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel. The other Six-Day War Commander was Ariel Sharon, a six-letter Israeli general and statesman who served as the 11th Prime Minister of Israel from 2001 to 2006. Sharon was a major military leader in the Six-Day War and was instrumental in the creation of Israeli settlements in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
