Gene AUTRY was an American singer, songwriter, actor, and rodeo performer who gained fame as the 'Singing Cowboy' in the early 1930s. He starred in over 100 films and was one of the most popular singing cowboys of the era. AUTRY was also the owner of a television station, several radio stations in Southern California, and the Los Angeles/California/Anaheim Angels Major League Baseball team from 1961 to 1997. He is remembered for his signature song, 'Back in the Saddle Again, ' which he wrote and recorded in 1939.
