Karen Gillan is a Scottish actress, singer, and director. She is best known for her roles as Nebula in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, Amy Pond in the British science-fiction series Doctor Who, and Ruby Roundhouse in the Jumanji film series. She has also appeared in several other films and television series, including the horror film Oculus, the musical comedy film The Big Short, and the comedy series Selfie. Gillan is also an accomplished singer and songwriter, having released two albums and several singles. She has also written and directed several short films.
