Flo Ziegfeld was a famous showman and impresario who is best known for his series of theatrical revues, the Ziegfeld Follies. He was born in Chicago in 1867 and began his career as a vaudeville performer. He eventually moved to New York City and produced a number of successful Broadway shows. His most famous production was the Ziegfeld Follies, which ran from 1907 to 1931 and featured some of the biggest stars of the day. Flo Ziegfeld was also responsible for introducing the world to the iconic 'Ziegfeld Girl' - a glamorous chorus line of beautiful women. He died in 1932 at the age of 65.
