Sherri Shepherd is an American comedian, actress, author, and television personality. She is best known for her role as a co-host on the ABC daytime talk show The View from 2007 to 2014. Shepherd was also the host of the game show The Newlywed Game in the fall of 2019. She has appeared in several films and television shows, including 30 Rock, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Less than Perfect. Shepherd is also a published author, having written several books, including Permission Slips: Every Woman's Guide to Giving Herself a Break.
