Rod Serling was an American screenwriter, playwright, television producer, and narrator. He is best known for his work in the television series The Twilight Zone, which he created and wrote for its five-year run from 1959 to 1964. Serling was also a prolific writer of other television shows, including Playhouse 90, Requiem for a Heavyweight, and Night Gallery. He won multiple Emmy Awards for his writing and producing work.
