Semiaquatic salamanders are amphibians that spend part of their lives in water and part on land. They include the European Fire-bellied Toad (EFTS) and the Common Newt (NEWTS). These species are found in many parts of the world, including Europe, North America, and Asia. They have a slimy skin and can breathe through their skin as well as their lungs. They feed on small invertebrates such as worms and insects.
