Self-righteous sorts are people who are overly moralistic and judgmental of others. They often have a strong sense of superiority and believe that their own beliefs and values are the only correct ones. They tend to be very critical of those who do not share their views and may even go so far as to condemn them. The term 'moralizers' is often used to describe these types of people, as they are constantly trying to impose their own moral code on others.
