Andres Segovia was a Spanish classical guitarist who is widely considered to be one of the greatest guitarists of all time. He was born in Linares, Spain in 1893 and began playing the guitar at the age of five. He developed a unique style of playing that combined elements of traditional Spanish music with classical technique. He toured extensively throughout Europe and the United States, and his recordings are still highly regarded today. He died in 1987 at the age of 94.
