Isaac Asimov was a prolific science fiction writer, best known for his Foundation series and I, Robot. He wrote or edited more than 500 books and an estimated 90, 000 letters and postcards. Asimov was a biochemistry professor at Boston University and wrote or edited works in nine out of ten major categories of the Dewey Decimal System. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest science fiction writers of all time.
