The Saxon Kingdom was a group of Anglo-Saxon kingdoms in England during the Early Middle Ages. It was made up of three main kingdoms: Essex, Wessex, and Sussex. Essex was located in the southeast of England and was the first of the three kingdoms to be established. Wessex was located in the southwest of England and was the most powerful of the three kingdoms. Sussex was located in the south of England and was the last of the three kingdoms to be established.
