Ryne Sandberg is a former professional baseball player who played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago Cubs. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2005 and is widely considered one of the greatest second basemen of all time. Sandberg was a 10-time All-Star, a National League MVP, and a 9-time Gold Glove Award winner. He retired from baseball in 1997 and currently serves as a manager for the Philadelphia Phillies.
