Lea Salonga is a Filipina singer and actress best known for her Tony Award-winning performance in the musical Miss Saigon. She has also starred in other Broadway productions such as Les Miserables, Flower Drum Song, and Allegiance. Salonga is the first Asian to play the roles of Éponine and Fantine in the musical Les Miserables on Broadway. She is also the first Asian to win a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical.
