The Royal House of Scotland is a dynasty of Scottish monarchs that began in 1371 with Robert II and ended in 1714 with the death of Queen Anne. The most famous member of the Royal House of Scotland was King James VI, who was also King James I of England. The Stuart dynasty was a branch of the Royal House of Scotland, beginning with King James VI's son, Charles I, and ending with Queen Anne's son, James VII and II.
