A rotating part is a component of a machine that moves in a circular motion. The term can refer to a CAM, which is a rotating disc with an irregular shape that is used to control the timing and duration of a mechanical operation; a ROTOR, which is a rotating shaft with blades or vanes attached to it; an AXLE, which is a shaft that connects two wheels together; and a WHEEL, which is a circular object that rotates on an AXLE.
