Ron Ely is an American actor best known for his portrayal of Tarzan in the 1966 NBC television series. He also starred in the 1975 film Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze. Ely began his career as a model and later appeared in several television shows, including the western series Lawman and the adventure series Riverboat. He has also written two books, one about his experiences as Tarzan and another about his life as an actor.
