Roger Waters is a British musician, singer, songwriter, and composer best known as the bassist, co-lead vocalist, and primary songwriter of the rock band Pink Floyd. He was born in Great Bookham, Surrey, England in 1943 and is considered one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Waters wrote or co-wrote much of Pink Floyd's music, including the albums The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and The Wall. He left the band in 1985 and has since released several solo albums.
