Alex Rodriguez, also known as A-Rod, is a former professional baseball player who played for the New York Yankees from 2004 to 2016. He was born in 1975 and is one of the most successful players in Major League Baseball history. He is a 14-time All-Star, a three-time American League MVP, and a two-time Gold Glove Award winner. He is also the all-time leader in home runs by a player of Hispanic descent. Rodriguez was an integral part of the Yankees' 2009 World Series championship team.
