Ric Ocasek of the Cars is a rocker from the United States who was the lead singer, rhythm guitarist, and songwriter for the band. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1949 and is known for his distinctive vocal style and for writing hits such as 'Just What I Needed' and 'My Best Friend's Girl'. He has also released several solo albums and collaborated with other artists. Ocasek was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
