The Pee Dee River is a major river that flows through the Carolinas. It is also known as the Great Pee Dee River and is approximately 310 miles long. It begins in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina and flows south through South Carolina, eventually emptying into Winyah Bay near Georgetown, South Carolina.
